Killer from China (1991)
Director: Cheung Chi-Chiu
Killer from China subscribes to Hong Kong triad movie plot number 14: a member of the "family" (Alex Man in this case) goes to jail, so his friends go out for revenge, hence the titular "killer from China", here a chap named White Wolf played by Wang Kuan-Hsiung. Like most of these low-budget releases in the genre put out during this time, the film wastes a lot of time with fairly dull exposition scenes, but business picks up near the end with some satisfying gunplay. RATING: 5 |
